What it is
MedReceptionist is an AI phone receptionist for medical, dental, chiropractic and med-spa practices that answers patient calls around the clock. It books into the practice EHR during the call, texts confirmations and routes urgent callers to on-call staff.
Watch out
- The flat $349/month is advertised as volume-independent with 'no per-call overage', but the vendor's own pricing FAQ says plans 'include a set allotment of voice minutes and SMS' without publishing that allotment, an overage rate, or what happens once it is used up. A clinic cannot work out its cost at a given call volume from the published pages.
- The $349 flat rate is published, but it cannot be bought online: the trial, pricing and hero buttons all route to a demo scheduler, and multi-location or high-volume groups are explicitly told to book a demo for a tailored setup, so their actual rate is unpublished.
- Every performance claim on the site is vendor-published: the three client reviews are quoted by MedReceptionist itself, the '30 days' results panel renders zeroed counters, and the competitor comparison table rating Ruby, Smith.ai and Synthflow is the vendor's own scoring. No independent review record is cited anywhere on the pages read.
