In short
Best for full-service restaurants and hospitality groups taking reservations by phone
Slang AI is a voice AI phone concierge for restaurants that answers guest calls around the clock, books or changes reservations in platforms such as OpenTable and SevenRooms, and routes callers to staff. Its Superhost tier adds interruptible conversation and 97-language support.

Good to know
Watch out
- The $399 and $599 per-location figures are 'starting at' only: the vendor says pricing is customised to call volume, locations and features, publishes no call or minute allowance, no overage rate and no calculator, and its terms move a customer to a higher price tier when order-form usage limits are exceeded. A restaurant cannot work out what 100 or 500 calls a month will actually cost without a sales conversation.
- No $0 plan exists. The only no-risk entry is a pilot or evaluation arrangement under the terms, cancellable within thirty days of the effective date with evaluation fees refunded, and on that footing several of the vendor's own obligations (indemnification, implementation assistance) expressly do not apply.
- Resy is presented as an official integration with its own logo and landing page on the homepage, product page and integrations page, while the vendor's own Loman AI comparison page lists Resy as 'In development'. The same page marks POS integrations (Toast, Square) as in development. A restaurant on Resy could reasonably buy expecting live booking.
- Slang AI publishes no developer documentation and no way for a developer to set up a custom connection. The integrations page lists only five ready-made hospitality partners (OpenTable, SevenRooms, Tripleseat, Perfect Venue, Yelp), so on the published plans you cannot pull your call data into your own systems.

What it costs at your call volume
4 answers
- Cost at 100 calls a month
Partlyfrom Core

- Cost at 500 calls a month
Partlyfrom Core
$399 a month on Core for 500 calls of 2.5 minutes. Core is bought through sales.
- What it bills by
Billing is a flat recurring fee per restaurant location rather than per minute or per call, with the published figures starting at $399 and $599 a location and no call allowance printed on the plan cards.
- Past your allowance
Partly
No overage rate is published; the terms instead say that exceeding the usage limits on your order form moves you onto a higher price tier for subsequent fees, which is an automatic upgrade rather than a stated per-unit charge.
Their words
If Customer exceeds any user or usage limitations set forth on an Order Form ... Slang shall invoice Customer for such additional users or usage at the now applicable Price Tier

Yes
The AI completes the booking inside the restaurant's own reservation system during the call, and guests can also modify or cancel, rather than merely being sent a booking link by text.

slang.aiFrequently asked questions, 'Can AI take restaurant reservations?'
- Transfers to a person
Partly
Calls it cannot handle are forwarded to a human and VIP callers can be routed straight to staff, but the vendor nowhere states that staff are briefed first, so a warm transfer is not established.
